Sophia Anastasia is a professional flutist and teacher in the New York City area. She performed her debut recital at Carnegie Hall in conjunction with the release of her debut album “Musing” which launched her into the forefront of the concert flutist world. She has won a number of local and national flute competitions, has performed with numerous ensembles and orchestras in the United States, and has been recognized as one of the most respected and sought after flute instructors in the Northern New Jersey area. Ms. Anastasia is the founding member of Electum Duo, a flute a percussion group, where she regularly demonstrates her versatility on flute, piccolo, and alto flute. She is a certified Music Together Specialist, an early childhood music education family program.

Ms. Anastasia resides in Montclair, New Jersey along with her cellist husband, three children, and nine chickens. She also enjoys gardening, bike riding, reading, mixing herbs, practicing yoga, and cooking.
